Studying in front of your teachers

I'm currently in the writing lab at school. I have an English quiz on vocab in about 2 hours. I forgot to study over yesterday's snow day, thus when my teacher asked me if I studied, I said I did, which is somewhat true, I have looked over the words, but I didn't "study." I told her "yes, but I'm going to look over them again this period," which I did. So I looked over the words. I think I got enough from them to get through the test with a reasonably good grade. My girlfriend asked if she should quiz me. I told her not to, because with the teacher in front of me I feel like she would know I didn't study. Oh well. It was intimidatinig, but I should do well on the test.
